Re-launching an Icon of Luxury Hospitality

One&Only Le Saint Géran has long been a legend in Mauritius. Opened in 1975 as Sol Kerzner’s first property outside South Africa, it became an institution of Mauritian hospitality and was rebranded under the One&Only flag in 2002. By 2017, after four decades of service and a loyal following, the property needed more than a renovation: it needed a rebirth.

Liaison was appointed to reposition and relaunch One&Only Le Saint Géran Private Homes in Mauritius, redefining the island’s most iconic resort property for a new generation of global ultra-high-net-worth buyers. The work encompassed every stage of the project’s creative and commercial evolution, from strategic brand positioning and narrative development to the production of world-class marketing assets and international sales tools.

We collaborate with world-class photographers and filmmakers to create iconic and enduring material that showcases this extraordinary property and island bound experiences, from art tours and horse racing to helicopter adventures, helping the resort to stand out on the island and beyond. Global and luxury partnerships with Beautiful Destinations, Polaroid and Patrick Mavros amplified reach, while targeted ad campaigns and media buying secured visibility in key markets.

The re-launch of One&Only Le Saint Géran reintroduced the resort as both an icon and an innovator. Heritage was preserved and the positioning was reset. The outcome was a re-born brand, reaffirming OOLSG as one of the world’s most iconic ultra-luxury resorts and restoring its role as Mauritius’s most defining hospitality landmark. Importantly, our collaboration with One&Only has also endured and we continue to work with the resort 8 years after the relaunch.
